Dare to be Different!

As an Artist I am a greatest Activist for everything Individualism. Make Up provides a platform which allows one to do just that, to Dare to be Different. I stand with those who rebel against societal limitations added on to the world of Artistry. There's no limits just literally a clear guideline of how to make daring work best for the Introverts and complement the extroverts.

Classic looks are a skeleton of a "safe look" one can always have stored in their vault for when the "creative block" strikes, however you can always switch it up a bit. Captured above is my rendition of a Classic look made famous by Marilyn Monroe: Bold Red Lip & Cat Eye. By adding, in the greatest subtitle manner, MAC Nightmoth Lipliner, a smolder ombré was achieved. A pop of muted eyeshadow always complements a winged out liner; #7 Lashes from MAC do that finesse touch justice.

Why limit yourself to two or three Eyeshadows, when 7 can work just as beautifully together? This Bohemian look was achieved using a kaleidoscope of a palette for visual interest purposes.

Ever craved going BOLD on the lips, but there was never a lip Colour on the cosmetic stands to allow you to?? Well, in the look above, I was there. So I ventured to my Eyeshadows: I colored my whole lip in with Engraved eyeliner from MAC, and patted Freshwater Eyeshadow (also forum MAC) on top of it. I finished off this look with a soft,  moody eye and flawless, sculptured skin.

Wanted to try an ombré, that's bold and different? So did I, so I went for a Berry Colour approach and went for a horizontal ombré where my upper lip 'bleeds' onto the lower lip into a nude based Colour. Go daring with the eye, and have a mood that's mysterious, fun, sexy and all things sultry for the day.

Make Up will always remain an Art, and we all have all freedoms to do with it, what our imaginative mind craves to do for that day. I challenge you all to do something Daring, and please share your creations with me :-)

Live It, Love It, Rock It!!!!

I Found Me.

Not many find the Leisure to Live
Let alone the pleasure to love
Many will cease to see, yet never seeing a Dove
Never receiving a chance to Give.

Before you, I was apart of that Many
Apart of the crowd living yet not
Breathing yet never fully feeling
Seeking but given up through never finding
Swimming yet left floating

Then YOU Came, washed instantly
My virgin eyes to this thing called love
Gave a beat to my dying vessel of a heart
And made my life in essence, an art.

Through You, a new life I met
A new complex I ignorantly embraced.
There's numerous infinite's existing in numbers
Like those between 0-1, 0-3, and 0-1million
Some greater, some not
But all fortunate, because in essence, they are an infinite.

However short lived our Infinite was,
It was an infinite.
It ended in experience, but like doves
It's memories & tales of moments lived soars on.
I'm comforted by the vision of a sparkling universe
I at all times saw, Everytime my eyes with yours met.
I'm moved by the instant goosebumps
When I imagine the heaven I felt
When your skin touched mine,
When your orgasmic smell flooded my being,
When your heart beat was the core to my groove
In short I find solace in the Life that was Lived
But no more.

You were alive, love
More so than a blossoming bud.
Through this, I too was alive, fully and freely
In a sense where breathing was effortless,
Smiling stemmed from my gut
And tears as much of a myth
As the venom of a vampires fang!
Oh how sweet an infinite that was
An infinite that's slowly fading
Vividly, painfully in a scorching & torturous manner
Replica of the fading of pains instant pang
Of when your death I first was made aware of!

PART 2

Like an Acid burn,
I was disappearing in blisters, scars,
Fumes, squeals and streaks of blood
When the reality of your death hit me,
Broke me, and shattered any ounce of life I had.

I longed for it all to be a nightmare
soon I'd be woken up from
I cried, cr i e d, c r i e d, I Cried
From the unbearable pain felt
When your orgasmic scent no longer met my nose,
When my eyes, even in blurred vision of tears
Never found yours,
When the iced surface of my skin
Forgot the heat of your touch and warmth of your caress.

I cried, and almost instantly I was tired
Tired of my body imagining an illusion of your comfort
Tired of my ears clinging onto
The muffled echo of your laughter
I loved every minute of Life with you,
Was comforted by the blissful memory that became you
But now exhausted by the torture of what was
No longer being what is.

Like a lost mannequin I wandered the soils of the earth
Immune to all things that once made me human
Confused by reminders of elements that once moulded me.
Numb, directionless, limping onwards I froze at a distraction.
I saw a figure that instantly brought chills down my spine
And hues of pastel Colour back into the world.
It was YOU!!!

Furiously I rubbed my eyes to
Gain diagnosis of either mental madness
Or my happily ever after.
Focused, I realized it was You, but not the You that was once mine.
A spitting replica, amazingly captured,
But drenched in all things sad, petty and pathetic!
I ran to you, on a quest of clarity,
But the You I embraced, was not the You that was once Mine.

Your Skin & touch burnt,
Your scent flooded all my senses with disgust
Your eyes a galaxy of sorrow!
As quickly as I ran to you
My body immediately ran away from you
Until my legs couldn't take me any further
And like jelly on the banks of a crystal pond I crumbled
Distracted again by a foreign reflection,
A Reflection I was to believe was mine
But it wasn't me.

I was captivated by this reflection,
A glistening reflection of me, but not the me I once knew.
My eyes were locked with those of my reflection
Almost miraculously, the hope and Life It, I, Resonated
Was addictive, and I was hooked!

This foreign world I thought I was lost in,
Found me and like magic it all came a live
I gazed ahead, and without rubbing my eyes
My vision focused on an exciting journey of self discovery!
At no point had I any interest in looking back
All things that floundered there, had nothing for me.

Then it hit me!

I no longer have time for What Was,
Only an Infinite of solely What Is and what will Become!
The rest remains undiscovered, it remains unwritten!

How to Rock BOLD!!!

It's been a constant battle of mine to accept the limits society feels rightful to add to the world of Make Up. As an Artist, I stand firm in my belief that Make Up is ART, a Freedom of Expression, The Ambassador of Individualism; so why, I ask, would you limit it?

The first and most frustrating of these #MakeUp Rules/Limitations is: One can't rock a Bold Eye and a Bold Lip at the same time? From me, #MuziZuma, I stand in saying that, that's absolute nonsense. I have always said there is absolutely Nothing one can't do with #MakeUp or #Cosmetics, the trick however, comes at How one does it!

#Photo: Bold Eyes, Bold Lip, Bold Hair, BOLD ERYTHANG!!!

As a Bold Individual and lover of everything Drama, I am a great Fan of Bold on Bold. This time I rocked a Bright, Bold and Clean Berry Red Lip, and a Winged out Smokey Eye, and you can be the judge this time of whether it works or not.

Technique & Products Used:

EYES:
1- Painterly PaintPot applied all over the lid and blended up into the brow bone.
2- NakedLunch Eyeshadow applied with focus on the inner corner of the eye, & blended over Painterly base coat.
3- I started building my crease with Brown Down Eyeshadow in a sideways V like shape ( < ), and blended with Step 2, Naked Lunch.
4- I then used Carbon Eyeshadow to define, deepen and darken my crease focusing on the lower part of my our eye corner. I blended the remnants of the eyeshadow into my crease.
5- For some colour and subtle Drama, I used very little Coppering Eyeshadow, and patted it onto the center of my eye lid.
6- To complete my Sultry Eye, I used a #224 Blending brush to blend and marry all the colours used into on, erasing any lines. I lined with water line with Feline eye pencil and smudged out the lower line to create a Smokey Eye effect, I then used Blacktrack Fluidline and finished off the eye with a Sexy, slightly thick winged liner, and of course maxed out my eye lashes with Haught & Naughty Mascara.

LIP:
1- Prep and Prime Lip, and I patted it down with a tissue to reduce the sheen of the product.
2- I used Cherry Lip liner to meticulously line my lips, I also colored my whole lip in to prolong the wear of my #Lipstick.
3- My Go To Fav of a Bright lipstick, All Fired Up, was my Retro Matte Lipstick of choice for this look, and I used a Lip Brush to apply it all over my lip.

With that done, along with striking #Contouring and #Highlighting my look was complete and Ready for a Selfie Captioned with #Fleek, cause it is Bold on Bold ON FLEEK! So I ask you now, do you still think that BOLD EYES & BOLD LIP don't work and should never be done?!

All #products mentioned above are available at ALL #maccosmetics #mac counters. Feel free to comment below with any questions. Also if you desire this look don't hesitate, contact us and make a booking!

Resign from Bad Brows Now!!!

As Women your Greatest Power lies in Your Brows. A Smart anybody will know to always take any look from a woman very seriously, and eyebrows are those powerful tools that always best emote ones stance and feeling without a word being said.

This brings us to the importance of speaking against #BadBrows. There's a pool of many options one can opt for, for today our focus will be on the most requested; The Intricate, Clean, Graphic, Bold and Striking Brow. (My FAV)
Above are 6 Easy steps in Mastering #TheMuziBrow or more popularly known, #TheInstagramBrow

The greatest foundation in conquering this beauty is the initial Shaping. Threading works wonders for me, waxing remains a no no cause I can't induce early wrinkles on Myself. Once you've achieved your desired shape, it becomes a 'Walk in The Park' literally!

1. Comb Out your brows using #MACCosmetics Clear Browset Gel to keep them in Place.
2. Draw a line at the Bottom & Top of your brow, fill in between those lines adding intensity of
Colour from roughly the middle of the brow to the tail. #MACCosmetics Eyebrow Pencils will
Always remain my Go To #products as they are precise and give instant gratification
3. I am a great fan of natural highlights under the brow, using a concealer that's a tone lighter then
Your foundation works magic. Use a #286 Angled Brush from MAC to clean & further define the
    Brow.
4. Repeat the same process with a #286 Angled Brush, but using a concealer that is your skin tone to
Clean and define the top of Your Brow (only if necessary)
5. To achieve a natural element, use a #284 Spoodle brush from #MAC to create a soft fade that
Builds and marries the point at which you started intensifying the brow colour.
6. Take a final look, edit where necessary and You're Done!

Don't be too hard on yourself, the gospel with Brows as any honest #MakeUpArtist will tell you, is that they aren't and will never be Identical Twins, BUT they must be Sisters and a strong resemblance must be seen LOL.

TIP: With finding your colour for #Eyebrow #Pencil always try match it with the darkest part of your hair, or as a safer option, go for what looks Most natural. This of course also depends on YOU, if you (like myself) are Bold & Daring, there's no colour that's too Dark Lol.

#NotionOfComfort: It took me many, and I mean MANY attempts to Master & be Confident in doing my brows, Don't Give Up! Wipes exist for a reason. Shout, Swear & Scream YES, But always Wipe the mistake & try Again. You didn't master Driving on your First Lesson did you? :-) #FailureLeadsToSuccess

I Hope this helps and that all who see it #Like & #Share this #Blog #Post in #Support of my #SocialMovement to curb #EyebrowMurder & minimizing the amount of #McDonalds M Signs, Straight Line, Geometric Shapes and other unmentionables which have sadly replaced many beautiful brows and ruined stunning faces out there.

What Looks to wear, where?!

The greatest struggle we all face in General is deciding on what #makeup look to wear. Things like: it's too dark, too minimal, what are people going to say? always pop in to our minds. On my side it really goes with your current mood, and using your mood is the best tool to make this stage less a hassle.

SIMPLE: You just came from work, you're exhausted, but have a function to attend? Pulling the focus to the Eye, touching up the skin and sealing this look with a nude lip would be my option. Why? Well if I'm tired, and I still have to endure heels & an interested smile and aura, the last thing I'd want to add on that list is remembering to constantly touch my bold lip focus, right?!

But hey, the Beauty behind Make Up really isn't the finished look, but Rather the logical fact that the phrase "Each to his own" applies fully to the world of Make Up. Receive guidance and opinions yes, but ALWAYS Do You Boo Boo.

For now let's just put Photo's to the talk. Seeing that today is a Thursday, (Well done for surviving The Week LOL) let's look at Quick and Fast looks for the Office, that you, with minimal effort, can rock into the night.

Natural Make Up will always be the best for all working women. It requires less time and effort, and makes one look professional, and ready to lock any deal.
HOW TO: After your normal skin routine, put on your foundation, pat a minimal amount of #maccosmetics Prep + Prime Highlighting Pen just under your eyes. This brightens and lifts that area,  blend it in with your Skin Powder. A light colored metallic or shiny eyeshadow is perfect for the eye lid area, complete the look by using a Semi Dark Earth colored matte eyeshadow in the crease, also smudge the same color subtly below your lash line. Shape & Define your brows, and sign, seal and deliver this look with a Natural, Glossy Lip.

That's a Basic guide with how to master Day Look/ Corporate Make Up. Now let's take a look at how we can change it up a bit, you know for the fun it. Work doesn't need to be boring or a nag, not when there is #Fashion AND #MakeUp LOL

Change It Up! A Simple, Clean and intricate winged out Liner is also a quick and easy look for the week. My Trick to master this liner is to draw a line as if you're extending your bottom eye line, and pull the end of that line to the upper inner corner following the natural shape of your eye, end it off by filling in the gap. This does need PRACTICE!!!

You can go slightly Dark on your Crease color, just don't cross the line. Still keep it's oft, professional and just make sure you still look approachable and not intimidating.

Have Fun with Color! Lips, Lips, Lips... Yes, if eyes at not your strong point, opt for a winged liner, or just lots of mascara and make the lip your focus. The world is your oyster here. Matte Lipsticks work best for me, as they require less touching up. However if you have dry lips or are in an environment that's highly Air-conditioned, just always put a lip conditioner on your lips before the Lipstick.

Now if waking up for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday was not enough to excite you, I trust playing around with these #MakeUp does the trick. Do feel free to post any questions you have related to achieving the looks up here. You can also go on Instagram, Post a Pic and tag me; where necessary I will add tips and help.
